In our Paques Europe organisation in Balk, we have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and commercial Project Purchaser.

With a track record of developing industry-defining Wastewater-to-Energy Technologies, Paques has experience across industry sectors such as Pulp & Paper, Food Processing, Dairies, Ethanol, Distilleries, Poultry, Beer and Beverages, Biofuels, Metal and Mining, Pharmaceuticals, and Chemicals.

• You are responsible for purchasing the supplies needed to realize our projects in a timely manner;
• You pursue improvements regarding delivery security, delivery time, conditions and price/quality ratio. To this end, you request quotes, assess them and enter into negotiation discussions where necessary;
• You are sufficiently legally versed to draw up and assess purchasing contracts. You use the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principle;
• In addition to the commercial aspect, you are also focused on the relationship with suppliers, because you know: each gives in order to get;
• You create overviews of product-supplier combinations (PLC’s) and outsourced Capital Goods, and where necessary you provide advice on commercial product and supplier information;
• You create reports to gain insight into the KPI’s to be achieved. You share these insights with the relevant internal departments.

As our new purchaser, you will work in a dynamic environment. Namely a technical project organization in which periods of enormous hustle and bustle alternate with quieter phases. You build a strong foundation in between projects, so that as soon as a new project has been contracted you can quickly move on to purchasing supplies under the best conditions.

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in commercial direction and an affinity with applied technology.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in a tactical and/or strategic procurement function in a technical environment.
• You have a proactive and commercial mindset; the ability to identify opportunities that maximize value for the company.
• You are enthusiastic about learning and developing within the procurement field.
• You have strong communication skills in Dutch and English. If you also master the German/French or Spanish language, that is a nice bonus.

• A contract of 32-40 hours per week;
• A competitive salary based on experience and abilities in the range of € 62.681 - € 84.540 gross per year;
