The BIOPAQ® ICX process explained
First, waste water enters the anaerobic reactor through the influent distribution system. Organic compounds are then converted into methane (biogas) which is collected in the top of reactor. In the lower separator unit, the biomass is separated from the treated wastewater. After the biological conversion is completed, the treated wastewater enters the degassing unit.
