Biogas production challenges

In most cases, the H2S present in the biogas needs to be removed before the biogas is used or converted into biomethane. For more cost-effective biogas production Paques developed the THIOPAQ® technology for biogas treatment. It not only reduces the H2S in the biogas to levels below 20 ppm, but also converts it into valuable elemental sulfur. Moreover, it uses biotechnology to regenerate the scrubbing fluid, leading to the lowest OPEX among all competing technologies. THIOPAQ® can be combined with any anaerobic digestion system.
